Regulatory Compliance

Association staff and our legal counsel provide ESAAL members with extensive experience in achieving and maintaining regulatory compliance and in interacting with the New York State Department of Health throughout the survey process. One of ESAAL members most utilized benefits is assistance in the development of plans of correction and responses to inspection reports. ESAAL members have the advantage of tapping into the experience of other providers who face similar regulatory challenges. We share that collective experience with our members in a variety of ways, including our monthly newsletter and our regional membership meetings.

Professional Development

Need CEUs? ESAAL offers educational opportunities to members, at low cost or free of charge, at our annual conference and trade show, annual regional membership meetings and special seminars that address hot industry topics such as quality improvement programs, case management and medication management. For educational programming, contact Cara Groff at (518) 371-2573 or via email at [email protected]

Information Resource

ESAAL is the first stop for members seeking access to a range of important industry information, including copies of regulations and regulatory interpretations, reports on industry trends and best practices in assisted living operations, and research data that members can use for benchmarking purposes. We provide timely member alerts, policy and procedure samples and up to the minute guidance on important issues.
