Conference Session Webinar #7

Resident Change in Condition…Your Definition or Mine?

Adult Care/Assisted Living residences bear the responsibility of notifying a resident’s medical provider of any “significant changes in condition”. But what constitutes a “change in condition”? And how do we differentiate between a significant change versus a minor or seemingly “insignificant” change? This subject has been ill-defined, with little clarity offered by the Department of Health, and poses as very confusing and precarious territory.

In this session the presenter will review the regulatory requirements and common Department of Health expectations for identifying and responding to significant resident changes.
